Gah!!! (it's ok... it's only a quick rant... well, maybe not that quick)

Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?

Why do people do it?

Why do people feel the need to publish such (quite obviously) biased 'Product X' Vs 'Product Y' reviews?

In this particular instance I referring to a pointless 'IE7 Vs Firefox 2' review by none other than the Editor, Senior Editor and Associate Editor of CNet which can be found here

If you read through this pointless use of webspace you'll find comments by three quite obviously existing users/lovers of Firefox on which they think is better. What gets me is that regardless of the negative comments they give to Firefox 2, they always award it a higher score than IE7... even when they've commented on how well IE7 does something?!? One of them is even so desperate to mark IE7 down that he complains about the extra space the 'New Tab' tab takes up (if you're using IE7 you'll understand). Another even claims to have noticed that Firefox 2 opens new tabs a millisecond quicker...

Quite frankly I don't care which of them is better than the other because I use both... but if you're going to run a website like CNet and claim to be making a comparison, make a fair and balanced one!

Bah... don't even get me started on the whole 'Windows Vs Mac Vs Linux' party...
