Birthday was cool, got some great presents and went out for a few drinks and a sound thrashing at pool with a load of friends (that's me getting soundly thrashed by just about anyone that could hold their cue straight). Included the strange 'bonus' of Charlie (close friend from Uni days) turning up out of the blue... she'd stopped in the place we were drinking to grab a quick one (first time she'd ever been to this place) and managed to bump into Richie at the bar! Quite a few coincidences there... she'd chosen to pop into that pub at that time and gone to the bar just at the same time as Richie (one of the only other people there that night that she'd recognise)... I love it when the universe rolls it's not-quite-so-random dice.
Other than that I've been kept quite busy with work... but not so busy that I haven't been able to get loads of EQ2 playing in. Sony are running a free transfer window at the moment so I've moved my main character on the US servers over to the UK server, Splitpaw. Very cool... at least it would be if I had an internet connection!
Made the mistake (?) of upgrading my internet connection to 2Mb (I've been running on 512k since moving in to the new house). It should have been a nice, easy, quick, painless and seamless switch. Same company, same line just increase the speed. Unfortunately, two hours after paying my re-grade fee my internet ceased to respond. Still connected to my ISP... just can't get the net. These things they send to test me....
Anyway, must press on... just been informed that the LANFix website (including this page) is being upgraded to DNN3 so I've got a website to create!
